Imperfectly Sane
Imperfectly Sane was a community theatre project of the Mental Health Foundation of the ACT that I directed in May 2007. It consisted of monologues, songs and movement pieces written or devised by people living with a mental illness, and performed by four prominent Canberrans: David Whitney, manager of the Canberra Theatre Centre, Mick Gentleman, MLA, Emma Gibson, writer and Eleanor Sharpe, basketballer, with a Canberra Youth Theatre group and singer/songwriter Simone Penkethman. There were three performances at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre. The project was supported by the ACT Government. The Mental Health Foundation of the ACT has recently received funding to mount Imperfectly Sane Too (working title) in 2008.

The Trial of John Winston Howard
I had a cameo appearance in The Trial of John Winston Howard, produced by the Australian Fabian Society, at the Melbourne Town Hall in August. I played Alan Jones, wearing a giant parrot head.
The Atomic Cheese Conspiracy
The Atomic Cheese Conspiracy was a Commedia dell’Arte play that I created with Theatre Onset in Bega, southern NSW. This was a huge production with a cast of 23 ranging in age from teens to fifties, that concerned Pantalone, CEO of a large multinational corporation, visiting the Meagre Valley and seeing that the perfect site for his new nuclear power plant would be where the Meagre Cheese Factory stands. The Mayor, Dr Rufus Stilton, has to choose between nuclear power and his love of cheese...

The Atomic Cheese Conspiracy performed for four nights, two nights at Bega High School hall, one night at the Candelo Hall and one night at the Murrah Hall near Bermagui.
